Lost in Fun
I had the day off so I took Drew to a new indoor playground in South Lincoln called Lost in Fun. He had a great time. They have some regular playground type structures (swings, slides) and then 3 big air bouncy areas. Here are a couple little videos of Drew going down one of the bouncy slides. I find these funny because it shows who Drew is. Drew is a very self sufficient little guy and and has to have things just his little way. In the video Drew is trying to time his bounce but they aren't perfect so you see him climbing back up to try again. It makes me laugh
I apologize as the videos are rotated 90 degrees. I couldn't figure out a quick easy way to rotate them back. You will just have to tilt your head to the right.

Pumpkin Patches, Bulldozers, Motorcycles, and Boo at the Zoo
Brandon here, thought I would do a quick post and give Michelle break.
We have had a couple busy weeks. We first went to Vala's Pumpkin Patch in Omaha. Drew had a pretty good time running around. His favorite was riding the train and horse. We were then back in Albion for cousin Camden's fourth B-day party. Over the week Grandpa Dan gave Drew and Camden a ride in the Bulldozer. The other pics are of Drew on his new motorcycle toy and then at Boo at the Zoo that we went to tonight. Drew had a good time and got lots of candy.

I'm Two!
Our little boy is now 2 years old. We had a family party for him last weekend and it was centered around Drew's favorite character Lightning McQueen (from the Disney CARS movie). He had a great time playing with his cousins and opening all of his presents. We went to Drew's 2 year check-up and all is well. He is in the 80th percentile for height and 75% for weight. We have been keeping busy going to library reading time and going to the Children's Museum. Drew this week has said that he wanted to go "potty". I think that it is due to 2 kiddos at daycare being potty trained. Since he had a little interest we bought him a little potty and he has peed in it 3 out of 4 nights right before his bath when he is running around naked. We are not sure if we should keep pushing this as I don't think he is really ready to be totally potty trained. (we will see).

Strike a Pose!
Fall is here and we have been going to and having football parties, playing outside in cool weather. Drew is talking more everyday and and putting more and more words together. As a speech pathologist that makes me happy, however, the pronunciation needs some work(ha!) Drew loves to pose and now I cannot get a decent picture of him without his little pose or "fake" smile. I will get the camera out and he will tilt his head and put on his little smile. Then he will run over to the camera have have to see himself. This new pose should make his 2 year pics coming up interesting.

Summer is over
Well we are sad at the Moser house because summer is over and that means Drew goes to daycare 4 days a week and I go to work. Drew has started a new daycare and it seems to be going well. Drew is having a easier time with this than I am. We spent the past few weeks swimming and camping and doing all the summer fun activities we could think of. Drew continues talking more everyday. His favorite things to say right now are "Move it", and to make a fake tooting noise and say "I toot", or Daddy toot" , and fake burping and saying "excuse me". He is all boy! We have been tying to teach Drew how to swing a bat, but he will not let us help and insists on doing it himself.
We will see if this " I can do it myself" attitude sticks around.
Pictures: Drew playing with a recorder ( he just loves that he can make noise all by himself) and the others are of Drew's new "fake" smile he gives when he is asked to say cheese.

Mom was out of town so I took Drew to Woods Pool today for a couple hours. He had a blast on the slide and running around the fountains. Here a couple little video clips of him playing.

Summer Fun!
Wow, summer is flying by. I have had a great summer off, playing with Drew and taking him on little outings. We frequently go to the Children's Museum, Zoo, and Indoor play center. When Brandon gets home we go on bike rides and to the park. Brandon also took Drew fishing last week and they had fun trying to catch a fish. Drew kept calling the fish Nemo( a fish from a Disney movie). Drew seems to be understanding more and more every day and likes to imitate me as I clean the house. This understanding has really improved his tantrums because we can use the words such as later and wait. They still occur, just not as often. Drew is also beginning to put words together, 'no Kasey' is his favorite, 'thank you mommy' ect. It is fun to hear him talking more every day.

Summer Fun
Not much new around here. We have been playing a lot of summer fun. Going swimming, to the park, and even boating. Drew seems to be hitting the "two" independent phase a little early. We have started to see some pretty impressive tantrums when leaving something or place where we were having fun. (esp. the park swings). Drew's favorite thing are still running, jumping and to Brandon's pleasure wrestling. He is also starting to play well by himself especially with his matchbox cars, airplanes, and motorcycles. Drew seems to be saying a bunch of new words however, I think that we are the only ones who can understand them.

Is it summer yet?
Not much new around here. Two weeks ago Drew had his 18 month appointment and he was in the 59th percentile for height and 72nd for weight. So to say the least we eat well around here. Drew had his pictures taken last week and we had to go 2 times because in the morning he would not let me put him down. I have not gotten so many hugs in one day. I am not sure what scared him, but we went back that night with Brandon and we got a lot of great pics. We will post some when we get them back. Drew is eating at the big table and loves to chat aways at our meals. He is now starting to say pee pee and poo poo. Hopefully he will just potty train himself (smiles). New things: He is walking up our stairs holding on to the wall for support. New words: Whatsthat (i.e. what is that), light, rock, bus). We can't wait for summer to be here so we can spend time at the pool and park.

A Love Hate Relationship
Not much new around here. Drew seems to be changing every day. His newest love is his dog. He will pull out her chew toys and give her one. He now knows the drawer where we keep her treats and he would give her at least 20 treats a day if we would let him. Lately, if we give Kasey(our dog) a treat Drew will lay on the floor by her to eat his cookie. He loves to lay by her and will now give her a kiss. On the other hand, he will tease her with treats and chase her with his push toys. It is cute to watch them play together. New skills: a few weeks ago Drew discovered how to open the sliding glass door, he can walk backwards, and is trying to walk up steps. New words: airplane, boat, bike, yellow, blue, block, nemo, thank you, sorry, fish, eat, nigh nigh, okay, hello, org for orange, bunny. He continues to copy everything we say. His most used words of the last 2 weeks hi/hello, I okay (when he falls down), truk for truck (this is his favorite). Tomorrow is Drew's 18 month check up and Saturday we are taking professional pictures. We will post info from both events.
Pictures:. 1.Giving Kasey a kiss. 2. Hanging with my dog 3. I love my dog. 4. Eating treats with my puppy
