Soccer Superstar!!

Saturday was the Moser family's first taste of organized sports. The weather was perfect and Drew did great! He had no fear of stepping out on the soccer field with the other kids ranging from 3-5. He followed directions well during the warm-up. He kept up very well with the bigger kids, he has always had speed. He seemed so big out there and he had a great time. (of course he did, running was involved :) We will see how next week goes, even though this week went great, you never know what to expect from a 3 year old.

Mckinley update:
1. She is now sleeping her her crib, yippee!! and loving the extra room.
2. She has found her feet, now if she could just get them in her mouth she would be happy
3. She is squealing
4. She is making a funny razzing sound
5. She is trying to imitate our sounds and sometimes can other times she struggles to get the sound to come out and gets mad when she can't

Drew funny story:
I was driving to the Children's Museum today and took a wrong turn. Drew said, "We are having a hard day" then I got us turned around and we were going the right way. Drew then said, " This is right, Mom you might be a genius" How cute and How wrong!!

Time Change!

The pics above are of us enjoying the beautiful outside weather. The one with the computer is Drew playing his new alphabet game we checked out from the library. He loved that game and was pretty good with the mouse.

On Saturday we headed to the Children's Museum with our friend Amy and her girls. After we had dinner at Noodles and Co. Drew kept saying he was exhausted and did not feel well. When I got home to take his temp, it was 102. It stayed up until Sunday and Brandon stayed home with him on Monday for good measure. He never had any other symptoms other than the temp. Mckinley has stayed healthy even though someone in her daycare room got RSV. I am more determined than ever to continue to nurse as long as I can to keep giving her all of my good antibodies that I have accrued working at an elementary school.

This time change was hard on us as well. We had finally got into a morning routine then the time changed happened. I won't go into the details, I will just say it was chaos at the Moser residence. Friday morning was a quite a bit better, so I am hopeful next week will be business as usual.

Next week Drew starts soccer. So I will post pics and Mckinley got her 3 month pictures today so I will post those as well.

Mckinley: She is starting to scream or shriek. I was not sure if she was mad or happy. We determined happy and she just played around with new sounds.

Drew funny story: Drew has recently wanted me to do everything for him. From putting on his pj's to getting him a snack. The other morning I told him that I needed to feed Mckinley and that he needed to ask daddy to help. Drew responded: but boys love girls (pronounced dirls) and dirls love to do nice things for boys"

I had misunderstood Drew the other day when he was asking for something. He got a very serious look on his face and said: "say fruit" I then said fruit. Then he said," say snack" I responded with snack. Then he said, "say fruit snack" I did and then he told me "good job, mom"

Tonight I was opening our blinds and somehow got them all tangled up. Drew said " oh no what did you do mom" I told him and he responded with " don't worry we still love you"

_ I could go on and on I just love this age!!!

Baptism

Last Sunday Mckinley was baptized at St. Patricks church. We attended mass first at 11:30 and the baptism started at 12:30. (not the best time for us because of lunch) Both kids were great through the mass. Then it was time for the baptism. Luckily it was just our family because right before it started Mckinley had a blow out and I mean blow out. All over her beautiful white gown. We undressed her in the freezing cold church and then wiped off the dress as well as we could. I had a change of clothes, but they were not white so we put the gown back on for the ceremony. Once she was cleaned she was very hungry since she had emptied her belly. She cried through the whole baptism. That poor priest did great as Mckinley showed off how loud someone so little and cute can be. It was funny, I think we even have a picture of Drew covering his ears during the baptism. After the baptism, we all gathered at our house for lunch and once fed and cleaned, Mckinley was the bell of the ball. My mom managed to get the stain out of her dress so I will have to take some pics of her in it this weekend since we did not manage to get many that day.

Today we enjoyed the gorgeous day outside. Mckinley loved the fresh air and Drew loves riding his bike. He is even getting good at the brakes. Now he is obsessed about if he make a black mark when he brakes. I am sure our neighbors appreciate that.

Drew funny story:
Drew was cooking in his play kitchen a couple of nights ago and he said he made a cake for me. I tasted it and told him that he was the best cook ever. He answered with" It's my pleasure"

Mckinley: She has definitely discovered her hands and sucking on them is her newest past time.
This morning Brandon was doing this loud laugh and he heard Mckinley do a little laugh herself. I am going to try my hardest today to see if I can get her to do it again.
