Jumping and Loving It!

Look at me guys!Mckinley must be starting to get teeth because the drool is heavy and the fingers are always being chewed on.

This is Mckinley after Drew brough her toys and blankets to make her happy. He is such a nice brother, but I had to stop him before he emptied out baskets ect.
Mckinley and Drew playing. I love these moments. They make the crazy moments so worth it!
Happy baby! All the cute clothes she has, her favorite is to be naked!
We have had to start putting a bib on her because she will drench her shirts with drool if we don't.

Last week we put Mckinley in the Jumperoo and she loves it. I should say that she loves it for about 5-10 minutes. That is about her length for any given activity. This week has been great, playing outside and yesterday we went to the Lincoln zoo with my friend Megan and her 2 cuties. It felt like a summer day and the kids had a blast!

Mckinley update:
1. She is liking her exercauser and jumperoo.

2.She is finally getting into a night time routine and will go to bed around 8:30 or 9:00 which finally makes it possible to do a few things around the house before I go to bed. Then up at night 2 or 3 times for just a quick cuddle and or a little milk. and up at 7:00.

3.She seems to not require much for naps during the day and will take on average 2 hours total.!!! This is just like Drew. She loves to cat-nap all day long.

4.She is squealing more and laughing

5. She loves to now suck on her toes.

6. She will imitate a smacking sound and is very please with herself when she does.

7. Note from daycare:" Mckinley does not like to lay on the floor she must be upright so she can see all that is going on" and the same one we have heard about her from birth "boy, she is sure loud" :)

Drew update:

The other day I was taking Drew to school and he told me that he wanted it to be a "stay at home day" I told him that he should make me a picture when he got to preschool.
Drew responded with a loud WHAT? WHAT DID YOU SAY!
I told him again that he should MAKE a picture.
Drew said " Oh, I thought you said I had to take my picture (get my picture taken)
Drew: That really freaked me out!
I guess he was not in the mood to have his picture taken :)

The other night we were watching American Idol. I said wow, I really like that guy he can really sing.
Drew: I know, he is really fantastic.

Easter

Daddy and Drew flying kites an Easter tradition.
"Oh I found a tricky one" (lately everything is "tricky")
As Drew opened the eggs he was quiet until he opened the ones with starburst candy inside. Drew: " Wow, Starburst, Just want I wanted" (if he would only stay this easy to please)
Drew and his cousin Kenzie. He would follow her everywhere!
Drew and his cousins Courtney and Kenzie.
My mom was in charge of taking the family picture. Both Christmas and Easter pics have Brandon's head chopped off. (Good try, Mom :)

Mckinley in her Easter dress.
Our 2 cuties. Drew was copying my face as I was trying to get Mckinley to smile.

We had a fun Easter. My parents came down on Saturday and stayed at our house. It was really great having them there to help get the kids ready for church. I think we were actually on time this week. We started the morning off with a modified scavenger hunt for Drew to find his Easter basket. The night before I set eggs in various rooms with clues to find his basket. The funny story is I put one in Drew room and at about 3:00 a.m. he enters our room and announces " I found a blue egg" I was able to convince him to go back to bed so the bunny could finish his job. Drew loved the hunt and really caught on to it as he raced from room to room. Then we went to church and off to my uncles for food and fun. Drew had a great day with his cousins. They thought they were a little old to hunt, but loved hiding and helping Drew find the eggs. Then we went to the park and attempted to fly kites. I think the cheapest kite was the only one to cooperate. Mckinley spent the whole day catching up on sleep (due to teething) as my aunts and sister held her(much to her delight). What a great day!

I Love the Blue Eggs!

"Look at these cool eggs"
We have a great day.
"This is MY blue egg"
Look at all the pretty colors!
Drew had a great time dying the eggs. I think he especially liked sitting on the counter.
Thanks for helping us dye eggs, aunt Leslie. We had a great time!

Last Thursday we were lucky to have Aunt Leslie join us for some egg dying. Drew loved it! He made it through the first dozen and was very interested and involved, but by the 2nd dozen he was playing and Leslie and I were dying the rest :) I was so glad to have Leslie there because Mckinley was a little fussy. She had gotten her 4 month shots that morning and I think she is working on those bottom 2 teeth. Drew loved the Blue eggs the best and declared that those were his eggs. That night when Brandon got home from work, Drew proudly met him at the door with the eggs he had made.

Friends and Dinosaurs!

The whole gang at the museum, minus the 2 strollers with sleeping babies!
One of my best friends from college Cara and 2 of her 3 kiddos.
Digging for treasure!
Drew, "what is his name" as he looked at various skeletons.
Daddy and Drew, two peas in a pod!
This book taste great!
Looking so cute after my night time bath.
I love this bouncer chair!

Just chillin!

On Sunday one of my best friends from college and her family were up from Minneapolis. It was great to see her and her kiddos. They were visiting family in Omaha and thought it would be fun to bring the kids to Morrill Hall to see the dinosaurs bones and the Archie the huge woolly mammoth. They met at our house and we ate pizza then we all headed to Morrill Hall. The kids really seemed to enjoy the museum. Drew kept asking what each animal skeleton's name was. All in all it was a great day. Minus Drew not aiming great in the when going the bathroom and getting pee on his pants.

Mckinley update:
1 About 2 weeks ago I started supplementing with formula. It is usually 1 or 2 bottles of formula a day.
2. She can now get those feet in her mouth.
3. Drool, Drool, and more Drool.
4. Eating her hands all day long. (will she be a thumb sucker or an early teether)
Drew had his first 2 teeth at 41/2 months. (not fun having an early teether the rings are just too big for their mouths and the coordination to get it there is not great)
5. Screaming and cooing more and more.
6. Loves to stand
7. Can keep her head level when I pull her up.

Drew funny story:
We got home from church and I came out of the bedroom in my sweat pants and t-shirt. Drew said "Hey!! , what am I still doing in these jeans! You beat me to the comfortable clothes! (our little guy loves comfort just as much as his dad!)

Those sharks are danger!

I had last week off for spring break. Drew, Kinley, and I met friends at the Omaha zoo and had a great day. Drew loved the same things he did last year: sharks, waterfalls, the shaky bridge, and the gorilla booties. When we walked trough the aquarium, Drew kept telling me "those sharks are danger".

Here are a few pics from our day:

Drew giving me a hug and saying "Cheese"

This is Drew going across what he will tell you is the best part of the zoo, "the shaky bridge"Mckinley snoozed through her first trip to the zoo. Maybe next time!

Drew, "Wow, he is huge"
