Our little daredevil

Not much new this week. Drew continues to jabber constantly. He also is becoming more of a daredevil. Last night, he was jumping off the ottoman and stairs. I was constantly saying no. I was panicked that he would hurt himself and then I looked over at Brandon. He was relaxed with a smile on his face. It must have reminded him of his own childhood.

New words this week: cookie, cracker, truck, football, belly (as he lifts up his shirt and points to his own little belly). He is saying a lot of animal sounds and pointing to body parts. He is growing up so fast. He is starting to look more like a toddler and less like a baby. I just hope we can make it to 2 without stitches, but with his father's genes, I wouldn't count on it.

I wanna go outside!

We spent this last week very busy with seeing friends, visiting the Children's Museum, cleaning, and working. Drew seems to be talking non-stop these days. On Saturday morning, he woke up very early and we brought him into our room in hopes of gaining a few extra minutes of sleep. He babbled a constant conversation and then proceeded to touch our faces. We were up to say the least. He is saying more and more words, see ya, bufi for butterfly, hi, tuk for truck, car, choo choo, su shoe, and sock) He is really trying to repeat everything we say. I should emphasize trying. It really is cute! He also loves to watch people walking by or driving by our house. Kasey the dog and Drew are great little lookouts. He also continues to love it outside. It will be fun to take him outside, as it gets warmer.

I'm so cool, I gotta wear shades!

Last week Drew was able to play with some friends. Trevin Reynoldson (2 years old) and Ian and Sophia Karges (2 months old) came over for the Super Bowl. Drew and Trevin loved playing together and it was fun watching them run around the house after one another laughing. On Thursday, we went to the Children's Museum with Alexa (22 months) Swerczek. They had a great time. My mom had hip replacement surgery this week and we went to visit her in Omaha Wednesday night. We were only able to stay 30-40 , as it is hard to entertain Drew in hospital room. He did give his Grandma a kiss goodbye, so I am sure that will speed up her recovery. - (Picture) Drew loves to wear my sunglasses and he loves his new Lightning McQueen car that Grandpa and Grandma got him. Drew now says "ka chow" something that the Lightning McQueen car says in the Disney movie "Cars".

It's time for dinner!

Wow these past 2 weeks have flown by. Drew is now eating(or shall I say trying) with silverware. We he actually gets food on his fork, he claps for himself. He loved running around in the snow with daddy this week. I had to yell for my two boys to come in. I was just sure one of them would get a cold, however, I was the one to catch the cold bug. Drew has been saying a few new words this week. (puppy, hi, this, no for snow (as he is looking out the window and pointing to the snow. Drew has been loving the song "the itsy bitsy spider" and he is trying to do the actions. He had been going a little stir crazy being inside so last Thursday I took him to his first trip to the Lincoln Children's Museum. He loved it and ran from activity to activity. I was exhausted when we left. Needless to say, Drew fell asleep in the car on the way home. We will cross our fingers that Drew stays healthy.
